Science Communication

In the clickbait era, communicating science is more difficult than ever. Non-sensationalized science stories are ignored, and science itself is suffering because of it.

To help scientists communicate their research in an authentic and attention-grabbing way, I teach a comunications workshop called Talking Science at UC-San Diego.

I’m also part of a non-profit organization called The Explainables founded by NASA astrophysicist Daniel Angerhausen. I have taught sci comm workshops with The Explainables at the NASA Frontier Development Lab (2017) and the X-Prize Visioneering Summit (2018).

I was trained at the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science at Stonybrook University in New York.
